Stackable Storage Bins
Plastic storage containers have been a staple in many homes looking at storage organization. Of all the plastic containers, the stackable storage bins are by far the most popular. Why? Because they are just so darn versatile and they can work great for both display and storage purposes at the same time. Another big benefit is that they come in a variety of different shapes, sizes and colors. But the biggest plus in my mind is all the space you can save by stacking them on top of each other. This allows you to make the best out of display or storage space you have available – no matter how small or large the area is.
Let’s take a look at how you could put stackable storage bins to use in your home.
Use Stackable Storage Bins In the Bathroom
We’ve got a couple of these in our bathrooms. One drawer, we’ve got our hair care products. In another, we’ve got various soaps everyone in the family uses, the third drawer has personal care items such as toothpaste, Q-Tips, band aids, and the like. The fourth drawer contains few rolls of toilet paper. In our case, we’d be sunk without the stackable storage bins because we don’t have a lot of other storage space in our bathrooms.
Use Stackable Plastic Bins in the Kitchen
There are some great food safe units on the market today. We use several in our kitchen. We’ve got everything in them from cereal, nuts, candies, baking supplies, English muffins, cookies, dog food, amongst several other items. These are great in the kitchen due to not only the space that is saved, but the fact that everything stays fresh. No open bags of food all over the place in the closet anymore. Nope, everything is organized so that it only takes a second to find exactly what you are looking for.
Use Stackable Plastic Bins in the Bedroom
Here’s another great place for these units! Sure, most people figure there is no need for one or more of these in the bedroom because you’ve likely got a dresser or two. But you’d be amazed at how much more organized your bedroom will be with one or more stackable storage bins! Keep your clothes in the dressers and move all the non clothing items into these bins. Things like shoes, belts, lotions, hair supplies and even make up stored in them will go a long way to freeing up space in your dresser / closet so that you can actually find what you are looking for!
Use Stackable Plastic Bins in the Home Office
There are so many products that are in home office stackable storage can really be a key to having an organized office. I’ve got pencils, pens, markers, batteries, tape, glue, paper clips, photo paper, thumb drives, blank CDs & DVDs, paper cutters, labels, cd jackets & cases, etc., etc. stored in multiple stackable bins in my office. I’ve got the big things stored in the closet, but all the things I use on a daily basis go right into these well organized stackable bins for easy access throughout the day. Makes life a whole lot easier, that’s for sure.
Use Stackable Plastic Bins in the Basement
Yet another great place for these bins are in the basement. I don’t know about you, but our basement seems to be the place where most of the items we aren’t using any longer, or items that have been replaced end up. It used to be that everything was scattered around all over the place. Well, since we put stackable storage bins to work, we’ve been able to free up enough space so that we brought in a ping pong table and installed a dart board.
We couldn’t believe all the space we saved and how organized things became. A side benefit of getting organized with these units was that we ended up throwing away a lot of things that we didn’t need as well. Now, we know exactly where things are as they are all well marked in these stackable units.
